Railway line from Mariembourg to Treignes …
Located in Mariembourg, this steam train museum, one of the most beautiful network-museums in Europe, opens its doors and welcomes you to take a seat aboard an authentic steam train and travel the 14 km connecting Mariembourg in Treignes. The opportunity to discover the magnificent landscapes of the Three Valleys, through a piece of history.
Railway museum
The railway museum, founded in 1994, is run by its many volunteers who take care and maintain the locomotives. It is possible to visit the workshops through a footbridge overlooking the workshops.
You can end your visit with a tasting of local products
The museum is run by the CFV3V association, with more than a hundred volunteers. You will be able to discover there a network of “small train” which will delight young and old, a stationary steam locomotive and a number as large as varied of objects relating to the history of the railway.
Although most of the exhibits are locomotives (railcar, steam, diesel or electric) belonging for the most part to the association
Opening dates
Open from March to November on the days and times below :
Tuesday to Friday: Open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Saturday, Sunday & public holidays: Open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Closed every Monday, except public holidays.
During the months of July and August, open every day from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Became a member
It is possible to become a member of the association, for all those who would like time for a common passion “the rail”. To do this, nothing could be simpler, just complete and return a membership form available on the Trois Vallées railway website.
