55 years after its opening, Marineland Park in Antibes is closing its doors for good.

I think we and our children will keep a positive memory of it.

Marineland of Antibes, the largest marine park in Europe, permanently closed its doors on Sunday, January 5, 2025, after 55 years of operation.

This closure is mainly due to a decline in visitor numbers and increasingly strict regulations regarding animal captivity in France.

The park was home to approximately 4,000 animals, including orcas and dolphins. Their future is currently uncertain.
