Preserved plants, flowers and trees are obtained from real plants. The process, plant stabilization, is obtained from a completely ecological process, which consists of replacing the natural sap with a preservative (glycerin), similar to sugar and completely biodegradable.

The idea being, thanks to this process, to obtain natural plants that do not require any particular maintenance, but also to have a plant or flower that lasts over time. They do not require any special watering or treatment, no cutting, no soil or fertilizer, or light so no need to take them out.

More concretely, the different stages of obtaining stabilized plants consist in harvesting them when they present their most beautiful appearance. After sorting them, the feet are immersed in a liquid (mixture of vegetable glycerin, water, substrate and food coloring) to replace the sap.

The process can take between 7-20 days depending on the size. Each plant has its own stabilization characteristics, and therefore a favorable period to stabilize them.

The first stabilized plants date from the 1970s, but it was the 1980s which saw the process democratize and which made it possible to make them known to the general public.

Nowadays, preserved plants come from all over the world, there are producers on all 5 continents, but the vast majority of preserved flowers are produced in South America.

It is difficult to speak of the lifespan of stabilized plants, several factors must be taken into account for their conservation: exposure to sunlight, air hydrometry, handling …

It is therefore difficult to give a precise duration, although the stabilized plant does not change drastically overnight. But under optimal conditions of use, they will stay beautiful for years to come.

Concretely, by respecting a few simple rules, you will ensure that your stabilized plants have an optimal lifespan. They are indoor plants only, like all plants they are fragile, so avoid touching them or unnecessary handling (they do not grow back). They do not require any watering or need to expose them to the rays of the sun, besides, avoid any prolonged exposure behind a window for example. Also avoid placing it next to a heat source, such as a radiator, fireplace or halogen. Air-to-air hydrometry is also a factor to take into account, it is recommended to have a humidity level below 70%. Regarding maintenance, dusting among other things, preferred a blower such as a hair dryer (cold air of course)

Preserved plants are an ideal alternative to living plants and the decoration ideas are as numerous as they are varied, whether through a simple potted plant, a flower arrangement, a frame or a wall. planted or even the creation of an advertising sign, they can participate in sound insulation, etc. They also offer the possibility of having plants for people, who do not have an exterior, who would not have time to maintain them or who do not have a green thumb.

You would have understood that stabilized plants are an alternative to live plants for all those who would like to have decorative plants and free themselves from the constraints of maintenance and the cost that this represents. As well as an innovative solution to beautify your interiors, shop or office.
