Beautiful, spacious Provençal villa near Salernes (1 km) with large private swimming pool (11 x 5 m, depth 1 – 2 m), lovely terraces (one of which has a basketball hoop) and a beautiful large garden. The villa has a stylish country house interior and there are 4 large bedrooms, a spacious attic (with play area for children), a beautiful spacious kitchen and three bathrooms. One of the three bathrooms can be accessed from outside and is ideal for after swimming! The owners have built this very tasteful villa with a lot of respect for the environment. Almost all materials come from the region itself. Pay special attention to the beautiful floors of hexagonal, red tiles from Salernes (Les tomettes de Salernes).
The location of the villa is ideal because you can walk straight to the village to go to the market and if the children don’t feel like going, they can just walk to the river to swim.
Salernes is known for its pottery. Do not hesitate to visit one of the many tile and pottery factories. Here, the most beautiful artistic and colourful earthenware objects are made. In the surroundings of Salernes, there are many picturesque villages and interesting sights. We mention Villecroze (5 km) with its cave dwellings, the village in the sky Tourtour (12 km), the village Sillans-la-Cascade (8 km) with its beautiful waterfall and the 12th century abbey of Thoronet (23 km). On the way back to your holiday villa you can buy a couple of good bottles of wine for the BBQ at the many wine estates in the area.
The coastal towns of Sainte-Maxime, Fréjus and Saint-Tropez are within an hour’s reach. Canoeing and rafting is possible at the famous Gorges du Verdon (25 km) and sailing and pedal boating at the Lac de Ste. Croix (25 km). 18-Hole golf course in Brignoles (Golf de Barbaroux). Don’t forget to visit Lorgues with the largest Provencal market in the region (every Tuesday). Bakery, groceries, tennis, bike rental and swimming at the river in Salernes.
